Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions and answers about accounts, binders, collection tracking, and troubleshooting.

Is Cardboard Empires free?
Yes. A free account gives you full access to all collection tracking features, including Inventory, Wish List, Set browsing, and Trade Partners.
How do I create an account?
Click the Sign In link in the site header and choose Register. You'll need a valid email address and a password.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the Sign In page, click Forgot your password? and follow the email reset link.
How do I delete my account?
Account deletion is not currently available through the UI. Use the Contact form to request account removal.
Can I export my collection?
Export functionality is planned for a future update. For now, you can view your collection online through the Inventory and Wish List pages.
How do I report incorrect card data?
Use the Contact form to submit corrections. Our team reviews and updates the database regularly.
Can I track cards I own, want, and have for trade at the same time?
Yes. Each card has independent quantities for Owned, Wanted, and For Trade. You can have 2 owned, 1 wanted, and 1 for trade on the same card simultaneously.
What does Universe mean?
Universes are broad categories like Marvel, Star Wars, or Wrestling. Each set belongs to a universe, and you can choose which universes to display via your Collection Preferences.
Where does the card data come from?
Card checklists are imported from official manufacturer sources (Upper Deck, Topps, Panini, etc.). Data accuracy depends on the source quality.
How do I request a new set to be added?
Use the Contact form with details about the set (manufacturer, year, product name). We'll add it to our import queue.
Why don't all cards have images?
Card images are added through a scanning and upload process. Newly imported sets may not have images yet. Images are served from Cloudflare R2 at images.cardboardempires.me.
What does ItemType mean?
ItemType classifies each card: Base, Insert, Parallel, Autograph, Memorabilia, Sketch, or Promo. See the Set Checklists article for details.
How is my data protected?
Your account is secured with standard authentication. Your collection data is private by default — other collectors can only see cards you've marked as For Trade and your Wish List public notes.
How do I find trade partners?
Navigate to Trade Partners from the Binder side menu. The system shows collectors whose For Trade and Wanted lists overlap with yours.
What should I do after completing a trade?
Update your Inventory quantities. Decrease Owned for cards you traded away, decrease Wanted for cards you received, and update For Trade statuses as needed.
Which browsers are supported?
We recommend the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Safari support may be limited for some interactive features.
Does the site work on mobile?
Yes. The platform is fully responsive with dedicated mobile views including card carousels, bottom sheets for editing, and touch-friendly navigation.
How do I contact support?
Use the Contact form. We review submissions regularly and will respond as soon as possible.
