Trading with Other Collectors

How to find trade partners, view mutual matches, and manage trades through the platform.

The Trade Partners system compares every collector's For Trade and Wanted lists to find matches. A match occurs when:

  • You have cards another collector wants (your For Trade overlaps their Wish List)
  • And/or they have cards you want (their For Trade overlaps your Wish List)

The system surfaces these overlaps on the Trade Partners page so you can see at a glance who has what you need and who needs what you have.

The Trade Partners page (accessible from the Binder side menu) shows a list of collectors with matching trade interests. For each partner you can see:

  • Mutual match count — How many cards you both have that the other wants
  • Their For Trade cards — Cards they're offering that are on your Wish List
  • Your For Trade cards — Cards you have that are on their Wish List

This symmetrical view lets you assess trade potential quickly without manual cross-referencing.

Once you've found a potential trade partner, trade proposals and communication are managed off-platform for now. Here's the recommended workflow:

  1. Review the mutual match details to identify which cards you want from them and which you can offer
  2. Contact the collector using the information available on their profile (off-platform communication)
  3. Agree on the trade terms (cards involved, condition expectations, shipping method)
  4. Complete the exchange outside the platform
  5. Update your Inventory — Set the traded cards' quantities accordingly (decrease Owned for cards you sent, decrease Wanted for cards you received)

For Trade Partners to work well, both sides need accurate data:

  • Mark cards as For Trade only if you're genuinely willing to part with them
  • Remove the For Trade status from cards that have been traded away
  • Keep your Wish List up to date so partners can see what you're seeking

A stale For Trade list frustrates potential partners. Review your trade lists periodically. For more tips, visit the FAQ.
