Wish List

How to use the Wish List to track cards you want to acquire, add public notes, and manage your want list.

Any card on the platform can be added to your Wish List. From the Set Inventory page, Card Details page, or Global Search results, simply set the Wanted quantity to a value greater than zero. The card is immediately added to your Wish List.

You can also add cards while browsing the Checklist View — each row has a Wanted input field alongside Owned and For Trade. The Wish List at /Binders/WishList automatically reflects all cards with WantedQty > 0.

Each card on your Wish List can carry a public note (max 100 characters). This note is visible to other collectors when browsing your collection or viewing trade partner matches.

Good uses for notes:

  • Specifying condition requirements ("Near Mint only")
  • Identifying which parallel you want ("Gold Foil preferred")
  • Mentioning trade flexibility ("Open to any version")

Keep notes concise — they're displayed in trade partner views alongside the card details.

The /Binders/WishList page shows every card you've marked as Wanted, grouped by set for easy browsing. For each entry you can:

  • Update quantity — Change how many copies you're seeking
  • Edit the note — Update your public note
  • Remove the card — Set Wanted quantity to zero to remove it from the list

Changes save automatically after a brief pause, just like the main Inventory view.

Your Wish List plays a key role in the Trade Partners matching system. The platform compares your Wanted cards against other collectors' For Trade lists (and vice versa) to find mutual matches.

Keeping your Wish List accurate ensures you get meaningful trade partner suggestions. Remove cards you no longer need, and increase quantities for cards you're actively seeking. For more about trading, see the Trading with Other Collectors article.

A well-maintained Wish List helps you and your trade partners:

  1. Be specific — Use notes to clarify which parallel or condition you want
  2. Review regularly — Remove cards you've acquired or no longer want
  3. Prioritise quantities — Set higher wanted counts for priority cards to signal urgency
  4. Keep it realistic — Focus on cards that exist in the database and are obtainable
